A primary assessment by trained LPE staff will be conducted prior to admission to determine what a resident's needs will be. Assessments are ongoing every 6 months or if there is a substantial change in a resident's care needs.

Yes, respite stays (30 days minimum) can occur based on apartment availability. A furnished living space with cable will be provided for a respite stay.

Staff to resident ratio varies based on the area of the community and the needs of our residents.

LPE offers traditional assisted living, memory care, and an independent lifestyle.

Many of our residents are able to stay at LPE until end of life. However, the ability to self-evacuate needs to be met until then.

Residents are free to make their own choices from our restaurant style dining room, but we do not modify food textures. We are able to accommodate vegetarians and gluten-free diets.

Yes, all apartments are unfurnished. It's important to set up your apartment to feel at home.

Residents are able to bring their vehicles to LPE. The vehicles must be operational and registered. A spare set of keys will be required to be held by our maintenance team to move vehicles for snow removal.

LPE has a visiting primary care, physical and occupational therapies, geriatric psychiatry, lab services, and pharmacy delivery.

Residents of LPE can keep their primary care physician in the community or may switch to our in-house partner for primary care services.

LPE is an evacuation community. All residents need to be able to physically descend stairs independently and leave the building in the event of a fire or disaster. Given this requirement, however, LPE remains a true assisted living and a very active and social senior living community.

Yes, we have a small dog and cat policy and if a resident can care for their pet independently and if the pet is approved by management as a reasonable community pet.

LPE is a private pay community. Medicare does not pay for any assisted living, and most facilities that accept Medicaid are nursing homes.

If a resident gets within 6-9 months away from running out of private pay funds, we ask that they reach out to a member of our community for guidance on what their next step could be.

LPE is Exeter's original senior living community. We have been part of the Exeter community for 40 years. LPE's residents are active, which translates to a very vibrant social community. Our apartments are spacious and have full kitchens. We also have an indoor heated pool for residents to enjoy with friends, family, and other residents.
